01 Information We Collect

AttendanceBuddy collects only the data that you enter directly into the application. This includes:

• Labor profiles — Worker names, labor type, daily/hourly/unit rates.
• Attendance records — Daily attendance status, OT hours, OT minutes, and shift details.
• Advance payments — Amount and date of advance payments made to workers.
• Salary data — Calculated salary summaries based on attendance and advance records.

We do not collect any personal information about you as the app user (no name, email, phone number, or account registration is required).

02 How We Use Your Information

All information entered into AttendanceBuddy is used solely to provide the app's core functionality:

• Displaying attendance history and dashboards.
• Computing salary amounts based on attendance, OT, and advances.
• Generating attendance and salary PDF reports for sharing.
• Displaying home screen widget summaries (Android).

Your data is never used for advertising, profiling, or analytics by any third party.

03 Data Storage

AttendanceBuddy uses a two-layer storage approach to keep your data safe:

• Local storage — Your primary data (labor profiles, attendance records, advance payments, and salary data) is stored on your device using an on-device database (SQLite) for fast, offline access.
• Cloud backup — Your data is automatically backed up to secure cloud storage. This ensures you can restore your records if you switch devices, reinstall the app, or experience device failure.

Generated PDF files are saved temporarily to your device's local storage and can be shared using your device's native share functionality. You control where those files go.

04 Data Sharing

AttendanceBuddy does not share your data with any third parties. The only time data leaves your device is when you explicitly share a PDF report using your device's native share sheet (e.g., WhatsApp, email, etc.). In that case, the sharing is governed by the receiving app's policies, not ours.

05 Data Retention

Data remains on your device for as long as you use the application. You may delete individual labor records, attendance entries, or advance payments at any time from within the app.

Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device. Your cloud backup is retained independently and can be restored if you reinstall the app. You can permanently delete your cloud backup at any time from the app's settings before uninstalling.

06 Your Rights

You have full control over your data at all times:

• Access — All your data is visible within the app.
• Correction — You can edit any record directly in the app.
• Deletion — You can delete individual records, all local data, or your cloud backup from within the app settings.
• Portability — You can export data as PDF reports from within the app.
• Restore — You can restore your data from the cloud backup on any device where you sign in.

07 Security

Your data is protected by your device's built-in security (screen lock, device encryption). We recommend keeping your device software up to date and enabling device encryption for maximum security of your labor records.

08 Children's Privacy

AttendanceBuddy is a professional workforce management tool intended for use by adults managing labor operations. The app is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.

09 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
